The Multi-Lite Pendant was first drawn in 1972 by Louis Weisdorf who broke his own custom of using multiple repeating elements to reflect his passion for diversity. The lamp features two cylindrical shapes that lay the foundation and a metal ring that encompasses and anchors the two quarter-spherical shades, completing an iconic design with multiple purposes. The pendant lamp allows individually rotating shades to create multiple combinations where light can be directed upwards, downwards, or exude asymmetric art light.
It has a timeless expression that fits into any domestic setting. The 1972 Multi-Lite Collection by Louis Weisdorf represents the ‘golden era’ of Danish design, featuring two adaptable, characterful shades that become the focal point of any room. A metal ring, two concentric cylinders, and a pair of rotating quarter-sphere shades form playful and customizable lamps.
Adjusting the shades transforms the light to direct upwards, downwards, or in asymmetric beams.
